You'll never guess what I just heard on the news.

...

...I knew you wouldn't, so I'll tell you anyway.

Indiana Jones IV is (Finally) moving forward.

"How fast is it moving?" I hear you cry. well the US release date is set for May '08.

Who's excited, who thinks it's a huge mistake. Who's blaming Rocky?

oh, and yes Harrison Ford will be Indy.

Indiana Jones and the Golden Walker.

Hmm...I'm not too sure about the idea, although I know I'll go and see it.

Cool. And just as well Ford is comming back, to replace him would be a travesty. Can you imagine anyone else in the role?

So, I suppose, with the passing of time, this new adventure will happen sometimes in the 50's? Indy battles the commies? On the run from J. Edgar Hoover?

It's been too long; let the trilogy rest in peace.

A couple of years ago, I was excited about this, but not so much anymore.

Didn't Indy drink from the Holy Grail at the end of the last one? Wasn't that supposed to make him immortal? How are they going to explain his age?

Only if he stays there and keeps drinking it. The irony.

The age jokes weren't even that funny 2 years ago when these rumors started. Grow up, people.

If that's the criteria, half the threads/posts in Office Party would have to be removed, including some of yours.

Not blaming Rocky....this has been talked about for years.

And I haven't watched the trilogy in a while, but wasn't it set in the late 30s/early 40s...Nazi Germany?

Add ten years or so and maybe they could have it set during the Korean War....or twenty years and have it set near the beginning of the Vietnam War.....Have him have an adventure over in South-east Asia instead of Europe...

Just some thoughts....

I won't knock it until after I see it. (though I am hoping it will be good)

And I don't remember the exact quote...but someone asked Ford about getting back into the Indy roll...and he basically said, he was sure the hat would fit.

Sheesh, Google "Indiana Jones 4" and see how many links you get.

Hard to believe almost 2 decades will have passed since Indy 3.

Also hard to believe they'd let Ford near a film after Hollywood Homicide and K-19...

Sean Connery is in negotiation of reprising the role of Indy's father, Henry.

There's nothing like watching to geezers dodging bullets, jumping cars, being dragged by horses, etc.

Both George Lucas and Stephen Spielberg said it took so long for this one to get a greenlight because they never got the script right. The fact that this one is a go gives me hope. They even said this story is the best of all. Judging from how timeless Raiders is, I hope they're right.

Given Ford's and Connery's ages, as compared to in Indy 3, it should push the timeline to just about 50s or 60s. I guess they will be fighting the Russians this time?
