The following song, "Standing Room Only' represents the closest I've come to success in Songwriting. It was demoed at the Song Cellar in Nashville with vocals by Buddy Jewell and won 2d place country in the 2003 Billboard Song contest.
I was given a Publishing Contract for it in 2004, but the Publisher died a year later, and nothing ever came of it, (The contract itself would be expired by now, in any case).
The Lyric is posted below and the song can be heard at: http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?PID=328379&t=1793

"Standing Room Only"
It was standing room only from the time that the night began.
Well, we set up....tuned up....welcomed them and started in.
We really laid it on, and gave them what they wanted to hear;
'Cause all they really needed was us and a bottle of beer.
It was standing room only and the crowd was getting it on.
The place was jumping and the night had just begun.
Some guy in the back stood up and started to cheer.
I'd rather see them happy then drowning in their tears.
Well, it's standing room only,
No need to be lonely,
That ain't no baloney.
Just come on in.
No need to be lonely.
It's standing room only.
It's standing room only,
Just come on in.
It was standing room only, the kind of crowd I like to see,
"Cause it makes it more fun, and it means we rake in more green.
Everybody's dancing 'though they got no room to move.
It doesn't really matter, as long as they're in that groove.
Well, it's standing room only,
No need to be lonely,
That ain't no baloney.
Just come on in.
No need to be lonely.
It's standing room only.
It's standing room only,
Just come on in.
Come right on in.
Come right on in.
