I don't know if anyone else has seen or not, but for those of you who geek out on Harry Potter, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be published July 21. Yippee!!! I am so counting down the days.
Is this number 7? Please say it's number 7, and Harry dies.
I just could not get into the books. They are children's books, and the small words infuriate me for some reason. I suppose it would be better if I were reading them aloud for someone... and I will likely have to buy them for my own kids one day. I loved the movies, but was not so interested in the books.

Sinner!
Seriously, the books are much better than the movies.
It's great the seventh will be here soon. I'm figuring that we will have to get two copies this time. So far I have been satisfied with reading the Potter books after my girlfriend is finished with them, but not this time. If Harry dies I want to know it first. For the same reason, I guess I will not have contact with the outside world while I'm reading it.
It is number 7. But you better bite your tongue about Harry dying. That's the last thing I want to happen.
Harry dies. He sacrifices himself to kill Voldemort, since their souls are so intricately entwined. Rowling has foreshadowed this for 6 books, and for her to do anything less is a disservice to the series and herself. Besides, she's prepared everyone for this by killing Sirius in 5, and Dumbasadoor in 6.

Sirius and Dumbledore had to die so Harry could face Voldemort alone. She didn't kill them to prepare everyone for Harry's death. It was just logical structure. Every parental figure he's had, except the Weasleys, has died.
