What's with the "add reputation" pop-up?

I get a new message everytime, like a chinese fortune cookie. The last message I got after giving a rep point was "Thanks for the rep point. Maybe you'll get lucky tonight and find a warm bed to sleep."

What's up with that? Who else is getting these funny messages? What message did you get?

Yeah, I guess it's part of the new software.

To me, they're a bit annoying.

I guess I haven't given out any rep points since the upgrade, so I haven't seen it.
It's when you give someone a rep point. Give Spooky one and you'll see.

Edited to add: Spooky and I had the same thought.

I'm not giving spooky a rep point willy-nilly just to see how the software works! He has to earn it.

I'll give muse one instead. :D

ETA: Yeah, ok. That extra popup that I have to "OK" to make go away is annoying. Maybe it's there like a speedbump in a parking lot, to get people to slow down with the rep points. Maybe they're overloading the system.

Ah, come on. Spooky is on a roll. I think I saw where his daughter said she loved him . . . he deserves one lousy rep point.

It's part of the new system, I guess.

The one I got says, you Haggis and Ferret have to share a bed.

Cost-cutting measures, I suppose

Well I get the same message every time. I though maybe it would be random, like our own little fortune cookie factory.

Lame.

This board needs to be faster, leaner, and have a hard-nosed energetic wolverine like dclary as a mod, not bells and whistles and fluff.

I think you should be a pow, Dave. That's mod turned upside down. If you were to turn AW over, I'd collect all of the change that falls from the pockets and split it with you. At the very least, it's bail money.

So... it's more annoying to click 'ok' than it is to go to a whole 'nother page and come back after entering your message in a rep?

Sheesh. As my sainted momma used to say, "Some folks'd bi#ch if they was hung with a new rope." :p

Huh?

I don't think we're talking about the same thing.

I like the new popups, but being a mod would be hard work.

Is this marshmellow fluff? 'cause I could use some of that, and a box of Rice Krispies.

My vote is for bells, whistles, and fluff.
