It didn't hurt as much this time as it did previously, and I'm beginning to sympathise with the people who did exactly the opposite of what I wanted them to.

er...isn't this the same thing a victim of abuse says?

I had a bad black eye not too long ago (inflicted by accident from my son's head), and when people asked about it I would avert my eyes and say "I ran into a door."
Not so funny I guess, but I got a kick out of it.

Thanks. I do need to send out more. I pick out a magazine I think would be interested, send out the query and then wait. I need to have more out there than just a few at a time, though.
