I've heard SO many wonderful reviews of this movie that I think I'm moving it to the top of my must-go-see list. Thanks, Bart!

Is it anything like David Bowie's Labyrinth?

WELL... there are some similar elements. They share the name Labyrinth for a reason, but this is far more... realistic? approach to a somewhat similar story.

And this one doesn't have Jennifer Connelly (not that it's a good thing, at all).

Well, as I understand her, her spanish is somewhat rusty...

...though the hombre what played Fauno and the Pale Man had to learn his lines phonetically.

Pan's Labyrinth, Satan, and Pedophilia!
By David J. Stewart
pans_labyrinth3.jpg
Truly we are in the end times! Satan is working relentlessly to corrupt and destroy everything that stands in the way of the coming antichrist. Some people had a hard time accepting the truth about Walt Disney's NARNIA, when I exposed the Satanism and spirit of pedophilia in the film. There is an inseparable connection between Satanism and child sexual-abuse and torture. Here again, in an upcoming movie scheduled for release in October of 2006, Pan's Labyrinth, we see an innocent little girl being presented to Satan, this time by Picturehouse and Warner Brothers (owned by Time Warner).
According to the hideous movie's official website...
" 'Pan's Labyrinth' is a fanciful and chilling story set against the backdrop of a fascist regime in 1944 rural Spain. The film centers on Ofelia, a lonely and dreamy child living with her mother and adoptive father; a military officer tasked with ridding the area of rebels. In her loneliness, Ofelia creates a world filled with fantastical creatures and secret destinies. With post-war repression at its height, Ofelia must come to terms with her world through a fable of her own creation."

Oh, giveth unto me a break!

No. I went with Anna.

Dad is his normal, frustrating self. Mom is strung out.

Thanks for asking.

I thought there was an awful lot of violence in this movie, even for one involving a child character. What was most horrifying to me is what happened to this very character in the end. Not the good thing but, um, the bad thing. (Don't wanna throw in spoilers for those who haven't seen it...)

It's in Spanish? I didn't know that. I guess if I had been reading their lips instead of the subtitles, I would have picked up on that... Oh, dear.
