Anyone read this book? I tell you, it's completely amazing.

For those who haven't heard of this book, it's a novel written entirely in poetry. All 537 pages of it. It's the story of a girl named Kristina who gets mixed up with the wrong crowd on a trip to visit her less than attentive father. She then becomes addicted to crystal meth and the novel examines her downfall because of it.

It's...heartbreaking, really. Ellen Hopkins actually had a daughter in a similar situation as the MC, and the note she puts in the front of the book mentions that the baby you hear of at the end of the book has now been adopted by her husband and her.

This novel inspires me, really. The ways she phrases the words, the beautiful way in which she crafts this tale...it's increadible. I only wish I were more adept at poetry, so I may try my hand at story-telling like her.

I reread pretty much everything in it several times, just to take in everything it was saying.

Seriously...I'm in love with this book.
