Greetings, fellow playwrights! I just came across this really great clip from a play currently playing at the Kirk Douglas Theater in Los Angeles. It's an adaptation of Jessica Hagedorn's novel "Dogeaters," which I read years ago. It's a dark satire of the Philippines (specifically, Manila) under the Marcos years. The woman who plays the Imelda-inspired character is hilarious.
I don't know how long this is going to be up on the Web site, as it's from yesterday's news broadcast, but if you have a chance, it's a great glimpse into a fascinating production. By the way, there is a brief news cap about the Zen car and other stuff before they cut to the clip.

Cheers,
Lorcan
