Hooboy, this is embarrassing:

18th Birthday: Love Train - O’Jays
Wedding: Best Of My Love - The Emotions

I'm not even gonna tell about my 50th birthday.

As usual, I'm so cutting-edge in terms of popular culture that I've never heard of the number one song on the day we married: "Kiss and Say Goodbye," Manhattans. Can somebody hum a few bars?

Maryn, out of it

I would hum it for you, but I'm the world's worst singer. I know part of the words go "Let's just kiss and say goodbye."

Sad hey?

I was born the day Hello, I Love You - The Doors was #1. Who is cooler than Jim Morrison?

When I was born - in the UK - 'Sugar Sugar' by the Archies was #1.

This is really uncool! They weren't even a real group, they were a bunch of cartoon characters!

Mine too! We were born 38 days apart, so that was a hit for...way longer than it should have been.

When I was born... "Emotions" by Mariah Carey?!?!

I've only heard her songs from the last seven years or so. And the way she shifts octaves mid-sentence is a bit weird. And she sings super-high in the background.

And for my fifteenth birthday last October... "Sexyback" by Justin Timberlake?!?!

Someone kill me, please. I won't repeat the mistake of bringing the dolphins into the picture again. They can hang out at Veinglory's in the meantime. :D

Birthday: US - I Want to be Wanted by Brenda Lee
Birthday: UK - Only the Lonely by Roy Orbison

(I've never heard of those songs and never heard of those singers.)

18th Birthday: US - Kiss You All Over by Exile
18th Birthday: UK - Summer Nights by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John

(How repulsive!!)

Wedding Day: US - Say My Name by Destiny's Child
Wedding Day: UK - Don't Give Up by Chicane

(I vaguely remember the DC song, but who the heck is Chicane?)

I'm truly disappointed in my music. None of them are songs I would ever be caught dead listening to (of the ones I recognize) and I don't think I want to hear the others.

For my birthday, it's "Honey" by Bobbie Goldsboro.

Man, what a cheesy song! (Don't tell anyone, but when I hear it, I cry buckets, anyway. And make fun of myself, after.)

18th Birthday: US - Kiss You All Over by Exile
18th Birthday: UK - Summer Nights by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John

Those were my 'life' songs, according to the chart. The Mrs likes Grease (yuk!). The Exile song describes me to a T, even thought I don't like it very much. Since we must be both the exact same age, jodiodi, why is Mr Custer my birthdate song and not yours?

Just doin' some stinkin' thinkin',
Rick

I don't know Mr. Custer either. i was born in the last quarter of the calendar year. My best friend from HS loved that Exile song and I couldn't abide it.

Songs chart at different times for different lengths of time. My husband's was that My Little Pony song by Chubby Checker someone else mentioned but his 18th birthday song was Do You Think I'm Sexy by Rod Stewart (so appropriate for him, btw).
