A little research help...

I'm looking for whatever details I can find on the ancient King's Road that wound up from Egypt through Palestine and then eastward into Arabia. The specifc segment I'm interested in is northern Galilee as the road traversed the Valley of Jezreel and past the Sea of Chinnereth. I have several maps and have found some information online, but a lot of the tracings seem a little arbitrary and they don't always agree from source to source.

I know this is a research question, and there's a forum for that. Just thought someone in this realm might have some first-hand travel knowledge in the region or can refer me to a reliable resource.
