I have self-published my book with Lulu. However, I still feel that there is a way to eventually publish this same book the traditional way. Any thoughts about this? Is it possible to "re-publish" it and what are the chances? How do the agents/publishers perceive "self-pub to traditional-pub" books?

Thank you.

It's been mentioned that the self-publishing method is a death-knell of sorts. Some publishers may not even look at a book - knowing that it is already on the market. They may feel that the book is already in the public domain and thus, not as marketable. Also, some may not want to deal with any type of copyright laws. Do get the book "Street Smart Writer" (Nomad Press, 2006) - I believe 1-2 chapters address this topic.
