I had a friend who was positively addicted to the stuff and used to buy it by the gallon jug. *sigh* He's been gone these thirty years and more. I hope the Great Hereafter provides root beer.

Last night I had a dream that I passed from this scene
To a place that was so sublime
The water was clear and tasted of (root) beer
But they turned it all into wine

It makes me a jolly good fellow

Virgil's ruined every other root beer for me. Now I can't drink an A&W without lamenting that I don't have a Virgil's in front of me.

I haven't seen Vernor's anywhere outside NW Ohio. Now I'm reminded of going to Toledo Hornets hockey games or the circus as a kid and seeing the Vernors ads in the Sports Arena stands.
