I got my first official contract in the mail...from Dog Fancy!

What a great start to the New Year! I got my first snail mail contract today for an essay Dog Fancy accepted just 2 weeks ago...it's going to be in the May issue and it's about my grandfather's dog. They usually only give writers 50-100 words for the back page column, but they're giving me the whole page!!! Suffice it to say I was surprised -- and ecstatic!!

I just had to share my joy...you animal writer will surely appreciate it!!
