Anyone passionate about books must read this one! Buzbee's a lovely writer, with such an appreciation about the sensual aspect of reading and bookselling. Makes me want to open my own bookshop someday.

It's a quick read, and the book is small enough to fit in one's purse or backpack. I love that he's so unabashedly a fan of books and bookstores, and I'm especially grateful that he chose not to demonize bookstore chains like Borders and Barnes & Noble. As a frequent habitue of these shops, I recognize their place in the literary landscape. I mean, there aren't too many places in public where one can linger for hours over a book in a warm, comfy setting that itself is loaded with books and mags and sip delish hot cocoa (my local Borders makes the best hot chocolate, complete with a stick of the real stuff!).

Cheers,
MRA
