I apologize for this cross-post from the research board, but I am hoping this board's audience may have some valuable advice.
Anybody familiar with Dhahran, Saudi Arabia in the late-'70s-early-'80s? A church was built around that time for Aramco's Catholic employees, and I'm curious how the priest was assigned, where he lived and what worship was like.
Some specific questions:
1. Would the priest be Eastern or Western Rite Catholic?
2. Did the priest live in Dhahran, or did he fly in from Bahrain?
3. When was mass conducted? Sundays were not weekends Saudi.
Thanks for any and all tidbits.
