Twas the night before Something, and throughout the forums
All the members were posting with class and decorum
Joanne was handling freelancing with care
Novel questions were posed, Emeraldcite laid them bare.

In Writing Prompts, Yeshanu hummed her favorite Elvin song
While she dreamed of Legolas in naught but a thong.
Derek in Script Writing and Joe in YA,
Had just closed up shop and were ready to play

When from TIO there arose such a fuss,
But my service went down and I tried not to cuss.
When I logged back on, I returned to the scene
Where the topic of discussion was once more Palestine.

William and Greg were busy, pulling out hair
From the nostrils of Dclary, who seemed not to care.
Bored with the story, I went back to OP
Where Melina was watching, as all the peeps made glee.

From all the noise, I knew Poetry was where it was at,
’Cause the man there was none other than Poet, Inahat.
And the bloggers all were blogging (shocking, I know)
Though each had the time to say “Howdy, Dawno!”

Chunky watched the rest from the top of a crate,
“On, Cathy! On, Betty! On, Cassie88!
More topics, more answers! (But watch that Bandwidth)
I’m so happy, I could cry,” he said with a sniff.

Fahim and Roger were always on the go,
They knew lots (about what, we may never know).
On the top of the house sat Frank with a stick
Hoping to catch a striped bass, not St. Nick.

Julia, Amy and Katie were out buying shoes
While Liam and Ray learned to count—by two’s!
And in Bewares and Backgrounds, all was safe and sound,
As Uncle Jim and Victoria exposed thieves all around.

Good Word and Mike were as busy as geese with no beaks,
And Anne was complaining that her forum still leaks.
Batyler65 told jokes in the mod room during lunch
And Pthom fought dragons and aliens, by the bunch.

Anne and Lisa made sure all were happy and well aware
Not because they had to, but because they care.
Erotic expression was Emily’s domain,
While Jen knew her history, from Cortez to Lo Mein.

Nomad always went beyond and above,
Greenwolf made room for those needing love.
Ella and E.G. were working on a new ad campaign,
For what, I don’t know—but I’m sure it’s not lame.

Sara sat quietly—she was rocking her little one to sleep,
But there was peace in her forum so please do not weep!
It seems that Jenna still does far more than her share
But soon she’ll be blessed with one free of hair!

And Birol in her kerchief and Mac in her hat
Finally settled down to a nice morning nap
Throughout the net, all was quiet for a while
As people packed stores and filled every aisle

So a light snow fell and blanketed us all,
And we all logged out for one more trip to the mall
But I heard Mac exclaim, ‘ere I left for the night,
"Happy Secular Holiday, now turn off that light!"

Great poem! [but why wasn't it in the Holiday Poems contest? ;-)]

I'm shocked. Shocked, I say!

Shocked and offended that I wasn't mentioned in the poem.

After everything we've been through together, Rob.

It's over.

Thank you.
