At precisely 7:22 p.m. tonite EST winter begins in the Northern Hemisphere and Summer begins in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Longest Night. Many churches have special services tonight to help those who find Christmas difficult, i.e. they have lost loved ones, or they miss their families.

Ahh so true as I do know from hubby...

So we are celebrating the Solstice by making fudge right now, then we are going outside later and lite the firepit and drink hot cider and listen to Mother Natures voices.
