The thread title says it all.

Wow, apparently the most extreme thing he did that might have been the reason for being surveiled by the FBI was that some people approached him and asked him to help finance a bookstore.

A book store.

Yeah, after waiting all those years, it's almost anti-climactic now, isn't it?

Well, I doubt they're really going to admit he was behind Roswell and JFK. Lies within lies, people.

I saw the documentary yesterday on the History Channel about this prof and his efforts to get all the files declassified. And the much ado about nothing that he found in the finally-declassified files. The FBI stayed up late thinking of ways to harass and eject Lennon from the US. They truly could not tell the difference between peaceful dissent and internal terrorist threats. Your tax dollars at work! Shameful.

Lennon was a clear and present danger to the US. He staged a bed-in for peace, for chrissakes! How much more un-American can you get.

The man was obviously subversive.

The card game Chrononauts by Looney Labs is about time-traveling. It has various lynchpin events, like the assassination of Lincoln and the sinking of the Titanic. You can go back in time to change a lynchpin and one or more other items from that event's future change. Lennon's death is one of the lynchpins.
