The "Oh, Good Grief" Thread

I just saw the teary-eyed news clip of Donald Trump and Tara Connor (Miss USA) for about the tenth time. "I will work hard *sniffle* to be the best Miss USA you've ever seen . . . " Oh, good grief.

Does anyone care who Miss USA is? Did anyone know who she was before she turned into a party girl? I'm just surprised the name hasn't been changed to the Miss Donald contest.

Does anyone else have a "Oh, Good Grief" to post?

Probably, but what "Oh, Good Grief" makes me remember is this:

I've always wanted a shirt like Charlie Brown's -- orange, with a zigzag black stripe. Why has no bright-minded company ever made one?

Now you need one of those leather caps with built-in earmuffs to go with it.

Now this is a project! I've got a line on the sweater (cf. K1P1, above).

If I can get my wife to do the "Little Red-Haired Girl" routine, I'll be all set. (Except that she's taller than I am.)

She has a goal -- to be the best. Isn't that admirable in and of itself?

And no, no one cares about Miss USA. Unless she's in a swimsuit.

On her application, she originally listed her talent as "being a dirty little minx" however she was required to change that to baton twirling.

I guess I wonder what the difference between Miss USA and Miss America is?

Does one go on to Miss Universe or whatever it's called and the other just stays national?

I don't know a lot about it, but I know Miss USA / Miss Universe is more of a commercial thing (and not as prestigious as Miss America). Personally, I don't understand the whole beauty pageant thing.

A: I want to either become a brain surgeon, or go into fashion merchandising.

Q: If you could have one wish granted, Miss New Jersey, what would it be?

He ownes the pagent she was in, that's what I heard and why he's defending her. Perhaps he lining her up for when the new one gets a wrinkle.

I know what you're saying but I still think she should lose the crown. To me a responsible person wouldn't have done it in the first place.

I grew up with irresponsibility and have a hard heart when it come to those things.

Give her a second chance, but not as Miss America. Taking drugs while wearing the crown isn't an option and going into rehab is just a way of righting her wrong. She partied, she didn't become an addict to the sense of the word as far as I heard.

"Since you're letting me stay in, I'll go to rehab."

It's BS if you ask me. Take her crown off and make an example out of her. Miss America is a title to be worn with dignity, now it means you can mess up if your willing to be "responsible" and go to rehab.

It makes me mad.
