Boo. That's all. At least I only had to wait a day for it.

Aw, I'm sorry. Send another query out right away!

Sorry you got a rejection. I got one today too, saying I am not the right agent for the book," which made me feel pretty crappy as I translate I am not the right agent as this book stinks.

It's a minor bummer. I figured it was a case of "probably not, but I'd be glad to be wrong."

Don't give up, Lloyd. Go have a nice hot mug of coffee, chocolate or tea (whichever catches your fancy) and send your work out again. We'll be looking forward to the moment it gets accepted.

The same goes for you too, Janet.

Geez, what is it about today? I got a "not the right agent, but I'm sure someone else will want it" form letter rejection today, too, also with a tidy 24 hour turn around. (I hate email querying, I really do. :tongue )

Hang in, Lloyd and Janet. Don't translate as "this book sucks" but rather "I am unable to see the greatness in your work because I am too nearsighted".

I'm not upset at all. Besides, I should really be paying attention to the contracts I already have before I worry about finding a home for a book I'm only 1/3 done with.
