Is majorly %&$#ing me off. (I'm keeping it clean). Their site has been down for days now. I need just one more thing for Christmas and their site won't let me access most of their pages. The news said Amazon went down on the 6th an the 8th - but it's still down on my computer. We're moving in 9 days to Oregon and the house seemingly will never be packed and the last thing I have time for is a trip to an overcrowded store. Arggg. I hate shopping even when it's not the holiday season and get most of my books, gifts, etc from Amazon. But I may need to venture out to a Target.

This bites. Is this an overly lame rant. Yes. But when you're moving cross states you don't need any extra trouble.

Arggggg (again)

Something must be wrong in your area. I have logged onto Amazon several times over the past week and it has never been down for me. I've placed four or five orders (you can tell I like online Christmas shopping).

If there's anything we can do, let us know.

Is it even possible to have local website outages???

Try cleaning out your cache and reloading the page.

I've been able to get on it several times this week (even twice today) with no problems.

Perhaps it's a local problem or one with your computer?

Yeah, I've bought several things on Amazon this week, no outages.

Wow, that would be cool if it was my computer - I'll try cleaning out the cache. I looked at Barns & Noble + Target and both were charging huge shipping.

I think I was overly cranky this morning. Moving at Christmas time is no picnic.

Thanks & take care

Hey, the cache issue made me think about browsers so I just switched browsers and guess what --- Amazon is seemingly working fine!!!!!! Thanks, SO MUCH!!! It is a bit odd because I used foxfire just fine on my old computer. I'll have to look into it.

I love this forum for letting me shop in slippers!!!

Yea, Jennifer

Agent:

Yeah kid, that's a nice story, but New York wants bittersweet endings. None of that happy ending stuff. Maybe make it so you don't get it fixed until the day after the last day for shipping before christmas?

Thanks.

Ha ha. Yeah, maybe I'd call Amazon customer service and my childhood sweetheart would answer the call, figure out my Amazon issues, save the day, I'd have a torrid affair, leave my husband and later me and my old sweetheart would get married in Africa and have a bunch of singing kids.

Wait could this all happen in time for Christmas?
