Oaky, I admit it. Even if I didn't have kids, I'd still watch A Charlie Brown Christmas and Home Alone.

But in recent years, I've found myself anticipating the holiday season, just so I can watch a couple of flicks in the right frame of mind. They are

Lethal Weapon (Mel's best Christmas-time effort, acting or producing)
The Ref (with Kevin Spacey and Denis Leary)

I'm loosing it right now, thinking about the living room scene in the latter...

"You know what, lady? I'd like to tie you to the back of a ****ing truck."

"You don't have the balls..."

Ahhhh...good times.

I'd just like to caution you Ben. No one said anyhting about "Christmas" movies, per se. We are discussing "Holiday" movies.

Now, keep it straight or I'll toss my holiday wreath over your head and run you up my Festivus pole.

A Christmas Story has always been my favorite.

"You'll shoot your eye out!!" gets me every time. I can't wait until they play it 24 hours on Christmas Eve!

And I like "Christmas Vacation" with the Griswolds. Who can forget the Yak Woman in that movie?

I've watched this a hundred times. What is the "Yak Woman?"

Also, Eyes Wide Shut is a Christmas movie. Well, it takes place around Christmas.

Judy Garland in that red dress singing Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas makes me cry every time I see it. I can't even hear that song on the radio without crying for some reason.

We also have to watch Rudolph and Frost and a Charlie Brown Christmas Special. And, it isn't Christmas until I've watched It's A Wonderful Life.

The Nightmare Before Christmas - it's my favorite Halloween *AND* Christmas movie!

"What's This?" - great holiday song!
"Kidnap Sandy Claws, tie him in a sack!" - another great holiday song!

Here's most of the whole song:

Kidnap the Sandy Claws, lock him up real tight
Throw away the key and then
Turn off all the lights

Kidnap the Sandy Claws
Throw him in a box
Bury him for ninety years
Then see if he talks

Kidnap the Sandy Claws
Tie him in a bag
Throw him in the ocean
Then, see if he is sad

Kidnap the Sandy Claws, beat him with a stick
Lock him up for ninety years, see what makes him tick

Kidnap the Sandy Claws, chop him into bits
Mr. Oogie Boogie is sure to get his kicks
Kidnap the Sandy Claws, see what we will see
Lock him in a cage and then, throw away the key
