Don't have any writing in front of me. . . but I once noticed that when I write papers for the university they tend to be around a 7th grade level. When I write my fiction is around 11.

Higher Education, anybody?

You can say that all you want, but where's the hard data!?

Show me the official results. None of this "My Word is Better than Microsoft Word" nonsense...

4.2 on my Nano Novel. Around 6 1/2 on most other stuff. It's strange though because one of my short stories clocked in at 1.8 and it has words in it like painstaking, tapestries, eccentric, demeanor... What second grader knows those words?

I can't get the bugger to display the results. Either I'm writing at super human level, or -- more likely -- it's too simplistic to even anaylize !

2.3 novel, 10.4 essay, 100.9 technical paper - the thing is if your novel has a lot of dialogue it will lower the score a lot - a mark twain book will probably rank at about 3rd grade

8.9 on an essay - ha! This is fun - sort of. I didn't know that was on Word. Great. One more thing to worry about. Thanks for nothing, badducky.
