I am having some trouble with facial expressions, describing them that is. My characters do complicated things with their faces.
They smirk while rolling their eyes in a show of irony for example...but it doesn't always work.
She smiled wanly. She smiled thinly. She sighed. She raised her eyebrows.
Wait no..."She raised her left eyebrow while rolling her right eye and smirked as she sighed. She then coughed and had stroke."
**laughs**
Basically, I don't want it to look like the above sentence.
What's the best way to describe facial features and types of smiles to get the point across without going overboard?
Thanks!
**smirking angrily** lol!
