I'm writing about an all-women (or woman?) newspaper and I'm confused about whether it should be woman or women in both the uses.

So...

Woman-only newspaper or women-only newspaper?
All-woman newspaper or all-women newspaper?

Thanks!

Kit,We have a local magazine, they title it today's Woman. So going by that, I'd have to use woman, even though you are referring to more than one! hope this helps, kimmi

Do you mean only females work at the newspaper, or that the newspaper is on women's topics only?

Anyway, writers and editors often make the mistake of using "women" when it should be "female." I suspect they have some fear of sounding sexist. But, unless it would make sense saying an "all-man [whatever]" instead of an "all-male [whatever]," then you should go with the female equivalent: All-female.

For example, I catch this mistake at my newspaper all the time: women business leaders. It should be female business leaders (because if it were men, it would be male business leaders, not men business leaders).

For me "all-woman" has sexual overtones.
