I had a bit of a bi-polar moment. I was already anxious when I opened up my email account to send off a short story, and I found a rejection for another short story in my inbox. Then, after I dumped that message, the next one was a full request from an editor.
The weird thing is that both of these submissions were getting kind of stale, and the rejection arrived at almost the same time as the full request.
I went from dejected to happy in like ten seconds. But now I'm already talking myself out of thinking positively about this!
