Ploughman's lunch and a coupla pints, and we're on!

NSHJMW:

Ploughman's lunch and a coupla pints, and we're on! Going to be a good series, this one.

I don't think the match with the PM's XI tells us anything.

What's the bet?

I'm a champion dart/cricket player.

I only need 8 throws. Game over.

Thank you.

I must be thinking of a different game; I can't see how to get out in fewer than nine.

Oh, of course -- we play in Celsius over here. :Wha:

15 to 20, triples in one hit, two bulls equals 8, but there's a buncha cricket games (sorry, i didn't mean to be a hyjacker)

Yes...but two DOUBLE bulls so you get points and close out everything in the 8 throws.

Everyone knows the outer ring on the bull don't count for sh**. :D

Yep -- the dart cricket I played is different. 20 to 1, double skips a number, triple skips two; end w/three bulls (or double and single bull).

So, Nick, now I'm hungry; time for a meat pie. Wish we could spend a day at the Sydney Test... any plans to head over this way? With the Barmy Army, perhaps?

Well I can say I now know more about Cricket than I did before the link. I think.
And darts now as well.
My most significant dart-memory is of my brother attaching my best friend's picture to the bull's eye.

Of course, the ashes don't matter anymore, since the giant silver robots came down and stole them, as part of their ultimate weapon to destroy life, the universe, and everything. Sorry.

Fosters! It's Australian for beer!
Oy! Oy! Oy!

OK. Seriously. I know it's not. And Outback Steakhouse is as Australian as Oprah in Menolo's, but it felt right saying it there.

Tiny, I usually like to have dinner, buy flowers, and woo a girl first before I "drop and give her those pushups," to use your metaphor. But, if you're THAT insistent, I'll make a special LA visit on the way home from the Middle East. I think there's a florist in the airport or something ...
