View Full Version : Sent off some slogans

Just sent out more than a dozen slogan suggestions to a novelty poster/button/bumper sticker company. Not overly optimistic, as they say they accept less than one percent of submissions, but nothing ventured, nothing gained. It's an attempt at a new market, anyway. :)

When do you think you'll hear something?

Received a polite rejection email this morning. (Not quite how I wanted to start my Sunday. :tongue ) The e-mail said not to feel bad as more than 99 percent of submissions are rejected, and encouraged me to try again, if I thought of any promising new ones. I'm OK with that, just thought I'd give an update. Happy December!:)

Thanks for the update. I like your optimism. Just jump back in the saddle and get some more submissions out there. Congrats on putting yourself out there!

I'm sorry to hear that. It's encourage, though, that they welcomed you to send more in. Good luck!

You never know unless you try! I say if you feel like doing it, go for it! A number of years ago I decided to try the card market. I sent off a batch of ideas to Hallmark Cards (who have regular writers and do not take a lot of freelance material). In spite of the odds, they bought an idea from my first batch and mailed me a cheque. Best of all, my card came out on St. Valentine's and I saw it on the card stand in Montreal!

So best of luck and don't worry about long shots. You just never know.
