One book that I've been working on for more than a year is now done! Finished! Off to be typeset! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!

The other is close behind-- should have just a week left to finish it.

I LOVE these days!

Except now I don't know how to celebrate it. Normally, I get sushi on the day I finish a manuscript. But sushi's outlawed for preggie ladies. Plus, hubby's working late.

Maybe I'll just celebrate with frozen yogurt. :)

Fantastic, Jenna! That's sure great news. (I'm bad; I ate sushi when I was pregnant). Make sure you celebrate somehow because you sure deserve it.

(btw, your avatar scares me!)

Congratulations!

:partyguy:

Usually I offer cake, but I guess that's out, too. How about a non-food reward? Any CDs or DVDs you've had your eye on?

Yogurt is not a celebration, it's a concession of defeat - eat that ice cream lady. Congratulations!

Well done, Jenna! If it makes you feel any better, I had some really bad sushi today.

Remember: bad sushi is way worse than no sushi.

Bad sushi is a trip to the emergency room. Good sushi is wonderful, but it's been too long for me.

Buying a new book's a good celebratory treat - no calories, re-readable and there's the absolute rule that time to read it goes along as part of the treat! Congrats on sending your book off!

Terrific, Jenna! Eat a little more of all the good stuff you're allowed these days. I like Jenny's no-cal celebratory treat as well. ;)

CONGRATULATIONS! :D

Yes, it's certainly a feeling of satisfaction to have those long projects over and done with. One deserves to give oneself a pat on the back.

...Why is sushi off-limits to pregnant women?

Two reasons: the "uncooked" part is bad because pregnant women are at higher risk of food poisoning-- and food poisoning is really dangerous for fetuses-- and because many types of fish are high in mercury, also dangerous for little 'uns.

The book idea is good! I actually have a stack of them that I have already bought and have yet to read... maybe I'll give myself a couple of hours tonight to kick back and settle in with one of them.

WHOO! Sparkling grape juice all around! I'd recommend a good salmon steak--thoroughly cooked. Poach it in white wine (alcohol cooks off,) butter, garlic and a little dill. Toss on some pine nuts and serve with asparagas. :)

CONGRATS!

Fantastic Jenna. I trust you found a way to celebrate in earnest. Now that you have all that free time, maybe you can help me finish my book? Ha! I'm a year late already.

Congratulations Jenna-- on the book and being pregnant! I had no idea you were pregnant. Hmm, I probably should have known, right?

Oh, and frozen yogurt is always good. Especially if it's mango. :)
