BAGHDAD, Iraq*Nov 10, 2006*(AP)—*A stunning new death count emerged Thursday, as Iraq's health minister estimated 150,000 civilians have been killed in the war about three times previously accepted estimates.

Moderate Sunni Muslims, meanwhile, threatened to walk away from politics and pick up guns, while the Shiite-dominated government renewed pressure on the United States to unleash the Iraqi army and claimed it could crush violence in six months.

Is there an army to be unleashed? If there is, why aren't we unleashing?

Let's go!
______

Uh oh...

After Democrats swept to majorities in both houses of the U.S. Congress and Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld resigned, Iraqis appeared unsettled and seemed to sense the potential for an even bloodier conflict because future American policy is uncertain. As a result, positions hardened on both sides of the country's deepening sectarian divide.

Oh just great. Thanks democrats!!
:D

We need more troops. We need to unleash the Iraqi army and get more trained.

We need to disarm the militias, kill Sadr and the Mehdi army, make sure Saddam goes by by, make sure everything is stable and then say "good luck and goodbye."

Do you ever sleep?

Thank you and good night

I wish I could.

I wish I could be in a slumber like so many people while we're in the middle of WWIII and the survival of civilization is on the line.

That's okay. I'll just keep doing the thankless job of fighting for truth, justice and the American way.

My pleasure.

Good night, Spooky. Rest well under the blanket of freedom. I have the Con.

Democrats...Muqtada al-Sadr is requesting that you keep your campaign promises. Just a heads up.

http://www.forbes.com/business/energy/feeds/ap/2006/11/08/ap3155797.html

The vote shows the Iraqi and American people are of one mind about withdrawing U.S. troops, said Falah Hassan Shanshal, who leads the parliamentary bloc of radical anti-American Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr.

“We hope the Democrats don't forget their campaign promises. If they don't, we will deal with them in a brotherly way once the last American soldier pulls out from Iraq, he said.

Don't let Muqtada down.

And Pelosi....oh boy....

http://www.investors.com/editorial/editorialcontent.asp?secid=1501&status=article&id=247968313312128

Clinton thought terrorism was a law enforcement matter. Kerry thought it could be reduced to a "nuisance." Now Pelosi says Iraq is not a war but a "situation." Should we issue car bombers parking tickets?

Gen. Douglas MacArthur once said that in war there is no substitute for victory, but future Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi told Fox News' Brit Hume on Wednesday that in Iraq there is no substitute for withdrawal that Iraq is "not a war to be won but a situation to be solved."

"Not a war?" Oy vey!

I hope she has something better than that at some point.

They have an army?

Great. Let 'em unleash and ours can come home.

We can send the civil engineers over later to dust up the place and hang new curtains.

Sure, unleash it if you want to see civil war and genocide.

You can't stop people from doing stupid things. It's stupid to try.

Do I want to see civil war and genocide? of course not. but neither do I want to see our American soldiers trying to stand in between two sides bent on eliminating each other.

It's like getting between two dogs in a dogfight. The one in the middle usually gets the worst end of it and the combatants walk away.

YMMV

Once the genocide starts, will Dems want us to go back in? What if we promise it's not for oil, honest?

Well, if you want the visual, it'll look something like this.

Georgie Bush holds aloft his sword and says
IIIII HHAAAVE THE POOOWEEEERRRRR

Then a lightning bolt hits him and
cheney turns into a hyena.

Or something to that effect.
The guys in the CGI room are still working out the code.
