Short film contests?

Not really sure where else to ask than here, figured some of you would know... I am just finishing up a 10 minute short film. My friend and I put a lot of time into it and are real proud of it, for a no budget student film. I am wondering what festivals I should send it to - places for short student films for the most part. We know of the one put on by the Academy and plan to submit there, but I'd like to send it around and get the name out there... sugestions?

Judging by the stills you posted, there are several folks of either gender featured in your shorts.

i won't list a bunch of short film contests and their links, but there are a shitload of short contests, and you can find them at www.ifilm.com, within a couple of clicks of the mouse.

if you live in la, i will suggest you enter as many in town as possible, simply because, even if they're not as well known, a lot of industry people attend them because they're convenient.

also, it's cheaper for you to just get in the car and drive than to fly, get a hotel, et cetera.
