We start the thread tonight.

We lock it on 11/05/08.

I'm calling it right now.

"John McCain the Senator from Arizona has been elected the 44th President of the United States."

What say you?

Interesting.

I like Rudy the bestest, but I worry that he could lose to Hillary.

And I also worry about the mud slinging that Rudy will have to endure.

McCain-Giuliani is my ticket.

I actually get teary eyed from joy when I think about it.

Would Rudy accept playing second fiddle?

If McCain won the primaries, I imagine he'd pick someone a little younger, with Senate experience. There's no clear up and coming Golden Boy (Girl) in the party right now, so he might be restricted to the candidates he whoops on.

I'm independent, with Republican leanings. But yesterday, I voted Dem across the board.

The Reps got less than 2 years to show me they will do better.

Putting together tickets like that is exactly why Dems will lose in 2008.

Actually, I hear Rudy might back out. There's this dude from Bay Ridge who is gonna run instead, Lazio something.

Oh, wait...that was six years ago. What were we talking about?

I think Obama gets the nomination. I have no idea who gets it in 2008 for the Republicans although right now I'd bet on McCain as well, but I've grown disenchanted with him over the past two years or so.

Obama has like 2 years of Senate experience.

No Hilary for me. I'd vote for who ever the GOP puts up. I can't stand her and believe her to be so out of touch with Americans that Dear Leader in N. Korea would get my vote before she did.

McCain all the way for me.

I'm Democrat and I like McCain. I would like to see Obama run in 2008, but I'm just not sure he'll be ready. I don't mind Hillary, but I don't know if I could vote for her.

I'm not a fan of Hillary; she's a bit slimy, and the trick of placing Clinton RIGHT next to her during her speeches, so you're focusing on him and not listening to what she's saying, is getting old.

Right, because a candidate should DISTANCE herself from her husband. That makes sense.

I never wanted Bush, prior to 2000. I really can't fathom why people want Obama at this point. Maybe once the primaries start and he can be compared with the other hopefuls, but right now, who is he?

F McCain. He likes the maverick image, but he's vanilla republican.

The only person I can think of right now that I'd vote for is Colin Powell. I think he totally F-ed up the intel on Iraq, but I won't condemn him for one mistake. I don't know if he'd run in 2008. and I don't know if he'd win. But he is the only person right now that I can think of that I'd throw into a hat and say 'we should consider this one'.

There's a difference between including him and attempting to present a united front, and waving him around to entice voters because we really wish we could vote Bill in again.

Ah that's just silly. Everyone has the spouse on stage.
