Yep. Tonight is "Devil's Night", or "All Hallows Eve".

To all my fellow pagan heathens, Happy Sowen (or Samhain for the old schoolers)! Only 2 more days to get your huge bonfire ready!

Mr. Maryn, the supervisor of a team of 30, says he will attend the Halloween lunch-hour party, where most of the team will be in some level of costume, but he wouldn't even consider a silly hat, much less a kick-azz lobster costume that would fit him for sure.

Maryn, in love with a stick-in-the-mud

Wow, that's early. Are you sure it wasn't UPS or Fed Ex? I had 6 batmen last year...or it could have been the same kid coming back over and over.

I'm going as a disheveled writer with too many deadlines, but I already said that.... :)

So far, I've had one (1) drunken mexican....but upon closer inspection, he turned out to be not a tricker treater at all and had just locked his keys in his car.

(did he want me to pick his lock? No. He wanted to borrow my phone, because in an effort to get his keys, he broke his window with a brick, and wants to tell his wife..........)

YIPEEE..my kids and I love Halloween!

I have a 13 year old vampire, a 4 year old leopard and my oldest daughter is begging me to go as The Fonz..but Im not really all that comfortable with the whole "cross dressing" thing yet LOL

Our nieghborhood is usually swamped with kids..but WOW they dont start at 3:30!!! If they started that early we would run outta candy before dark!

This is definitely a more busy year than usual for us, and most of the kids came between 3:15 and 4 so far... it's slowed a bit in the last hour. We'll see, though. The biggest rush is often right after dinnertime.

So, like... kids dress up as monsters and threaten you? And you feed them?

Is that how it works?

Yes, my Halloween is also going to be lame. I actually about to go to bed. Having a job is so stupid. I wish I was like 12 or maybe 13.

Maybe it's because I was born on Halloween, but it's my farorite time and season of the year. I love the whole orange and black theme, the ghosts and goblins and spooks, the horror movies on TV and the Halloween-themed sitcoms, and especially It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. I also love seeing the Halloween decorated houses, but have gotten out of the habit of doing it to our own house.

I also love the trick or treaters, especially since I had so much fun doing it myself when I was their age.
