I noticed in the HoL, et al., there were some concerns about Ray's absence.

He has promised me that he will finish the first draft of his second novel by November 26th. If he fails, he has to buy me a bottle of wine, which he doesn't want to do because I'm very picky about my wine.

In order to meet the challenge, he asked to be self-banned. You may either wish him well and cheer him on or taunt him mercilessly while he is unable to respond, or both.

That's a tough one. We'll probably take turns. I mean, the Newbie Forum is such a flaming cesspit of vitriol we wouldn't want anyone filling in to burn out or anything.
