What do you guys do when you're trying to research (an apparent obscure) topic and you seem to hit dead end after dead end?

I've been trying to find out more about certain ancient Celtic goddesses. I've found the same tantalizing tidbit about each in several different spots (and only one tidbit on one of them, period!) but these sites don't reference where they originally got the info. I've tried looking up Scottish mythology and ancient history but all I get is long rambles on the Picts and Romans or the Scots and the Brits or redirected to Irish Celt information that is NOT what I requested.

I have found several fascinating pages of Scots history / info in general that I've tucked away for later, but nothing on what I'm looking for!

Anyone have any ideas?

Have you looked through our helpful websites list?

If none of these lead anywhere, you could always just ask our knowledgable folks over at Story Research. There are people here who know everything about everything. Just ask.

I generally tap a fellow member who might know. Medievalist is worth trying on almost any topic, or an open query on the research subforum.
