My school PTA is pricing ways to publish a calendar for a fundraiser featuring some of the kids art work. I think lulu is fairly reasonable, but the cheaper the cost the more that can be made for the PTA fund. (For those that don't know it's PTA policy to spend everything you raise the year you raise it. Funds are supposed to go immediately back to the kids.)

Does anyone know of any other publishers/printers that print customizable calendars?

I like cafe press for calendars. The easiest one I know of is made via Apple's iPhoto. But you'd have to print one as a sample, then take orders then enter them to have them shipped.

Have you checked with local printers?

Going with a local printer for a calendar, unless they have a template, is not simple; it's definitely an exercise in layout, and, if you want to do it well, it's not for the naive.
