Usually, I just tell people I live in Bloomington, the neighboring city. This keeps the snickers and giggles to a minimum. Usually.

Hey, Jazziz, did I ever tell you about my friend who lives in the Chicago suburbs? Right after he moved to the state, he was driving down to see me. Still unfamiliar with the area, he didn't really know what towns he was passing through and was a bit taken aback when the news announcer came on the radio and said, "Today, a normal woman killed her husband."
