Dear Mr. Bradbury,

Please cease and desist. You are not only wearing out one of our favorite smileys, you are giving some of us nausea. And poor Snoopy is pooped and needs a nap now.

Yours truly,

Wait a minute. You're telling me that we're not, that I'm not, NORMAL?

It hurts at first Lori but then you get used to it. It's, um, the new normal. :ack

Hey, I live in Normal.

No kidding. It's my town's name.

Usually, I just tell people I live in Bloomington, the neighboring city. This keeps the snickers and giggles to a minimum. Usually.

Hey, Jazziz, did I ever tell you about my friend who lives in the Chicago suburbs? Right after he moved to the state, he was driving down to see me. Still unfamiliar with the area, he didn't really know what towns he was passing through and was a bit taken aback when the news announcer came on the radio and said, "Today, a normal woman killed her husband."

There are lots of good headlines with these sorts of titles. My personal fav was one that Leno had on his "Headlines" a few years back:

Normal Man Marries Oblong Woman

(For you non-Illinois folks, there is also a town called Oblong.)

And do you know who William Blake Bradbury was/is?

Other than the fact that he seemed to have a silly infatuation with Snoopy. :snoopy: (I mean who doesn't? :) ) And that he seemed to be from before I ever found this place. I don't have a clue.

Based on the way his posts sound, I think I have it figured out. He is such a prolific poster that it isn't too hard to hazard a guess. ;)
