Incorrect temperature readings

Greenwolf103

Soo, I checked weather.com to see what it had to say about the temperature in my area. Results: "88 degrees (feels like 95)"

Er, actually it's 106 degrees outside, and it feels like 110!! :smack

Kinda makes you wonder if you can trust online temp readings for elsewhere.

I found the temperature always right... now, let me check again... just one second, gotta pull it out of my bum first...

Do like the weather enthusiasts do, stick a thermometer out the window and this way you can look out the window and see the correct temperature. but make sure you get a thermometer that is accurate, tons of them are inaccurate.

My ex-hubby watches the weather channel all the time.

"It's going to rain."

Really? I look outside -- not a cloud in the sky.

"It's not going to rain."

Fine. Just let me get my umbrella...

Why would anyone want to be anything other than a weather forecaster? They pay you to be wrong...:shrug

You bumped a 5-year-old thread on THE WEATHER?

I was being nostalgic. This was the oldest thread in OP.

It's been overcast here in CT.

I don't like overcast days.

In the Castle, of course.
Has it been solid overcast or in layers? Layers are interesting if you study the layers. Perfect writing weather.

However, you are in luck. It is night now so you can't see that it is overcast.

But then Wayne (in all "fairness" perhaps inadvertently) brings up a good point. If it was 106 degrees in July five years ago, how much hotter is it going to be this year?

Anyone have any idea where the OP lived? This could be important historical info that we should forward to the IPCC.

Oh my Lord...

Yeah, I was living in the California desert at the time. Now I'm in the Northwest. Where it's colder. I don't miss the heat or the 100+ degree summers.

These days, when I look up the temp, it's more accurate. But I look it up on iGoogle, not AOL.
