My wonderful husband and I took our vows.

Here's a wish for all my friends on AW that their marriages be as happy and last as long - and even longer - than ours.

If y'all don't see much of me this weekend... well... that's why. We're old, but we ain't dead!

Carry on.

Cool! And congratulations! That's very groovy. My wife and I are only twenty-five years behind you. (almost exactly twenty-five years, actually, since our third anniversary is next Wednesday)

Party hardy! Just don't stay up too late or listen to loud music. :)

It's always wonderful to read of marriages that work. My congratulations to you both.

Now's the time to start saving toward something really special to celebrate your 30th, you know. A dollar a day adds up to a nice chunk, and two, well, you can have a pretty nice celebration on that! If you can manage five bucks a day over the next two years, Europe is feasible...

Maryn, who did Paris for our 30th

Congratulations. We just passed out 29th. Two weeks ago. Not bad for someone who never planned to get married (that may be the key).

A very happy anniversary to you ... Nah you aren't old. As the great baseball player Satchel Paige once said (and I hear now he stole it from Mark Twain) ... Age is mind over matter -- if you don't mind, it don't matter.

Have a very lovely anniversary. Persi

My wonderful husband and I took our vows.

Oh.

I thought you were gonna say "Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play."

I guess this is almost as good.

Congrats.

Thanks, everyone! It was a wonderful day! I'm a very lucky woman to have found a man like Ol' Boy (I used to call him 'Mr. OFG', but I like Jenna's name for him better!). He's the reason we're so happy.

Terri asked if I had any wisdom to share... all I can think of is this: Never go to bed mad (even if you have to stay up all night). Never let anything fester. Don't smother one another. Don't call one another names and never say something that's intended just to hurt.

Marriage isn't 50-50. It's 200-200. And it sure helps to find the right partner. ;)

It's better to have separate anniversaries! More presents! ;) One for the anniversary of your wedding... of your first date... of your meeting... of your first fight... of your first kiss... the possibilities are endless. :>

DamaNegra

Or you can just celebrate the fact that there is nothing to celebrate :D We've done that.
