Cafe Press a viable Promotion?

Hey gang.

I'm sure you'veheard of Cafe Press. Make your own merchandise POD style!

I'm curious if anyone has done this and finds it worthwhile? Is there a lot of technicalities involved or is it doable? I've never know anyone to sell anything substantial with it.

The folks I know who do it, do it exactly as you say: POD or Vanity Press. They'll sell 2-3 copies of something to friends or family. Don't expect to make too much money, because if you ever DID find something that you could sell like hotcakes, you'd eventually find a cheaper place to sell it at.
