Well, I finished one of the books I'm ghostwriting and today I got the galleys for another. Depending on how many breaks I take, I may be a little quiet for the next couple of days... the editor wants a fast turnaround.

Two manuscripts down, one more to go! Cupcakes all around!

Hey, Jenna, that's totally awesome! Bet you're feeling really happy! :) The one that you're getting galleys for-- what's it called? When will it be in bookstores?

Again, congrats on the great news!!

The one I have galleys for is "real" ghostwriting (that is, I'm not allowed to talk about it). The other one I just finished is what I'll call "credited ghostwriting" (I get a "with Jenna Glatzer" credit), so I can mention that one-- that's a memoir for Thomas Nelson called Unbroken, about this gorgeous lady:

(Ha! Sneaked in a plug for my brother's blog.)

Both books are coming out in April. Thanks for asking!

Jenna, how hard is it to ghostwrite a book and not be able to point to it when it's out and say, "Hey, I wrote that!"

Awww, c'mon. You can tell US. We can keep a secret. All almost-10,000 of us, plus lurkers!

Oarsman, that was impressive! Thanks for the perfect cupcake!

Shwebb, yep, it's frustrating sometimes. And this hasn't happened yet, but I'm imagining how frustrating it will feel when one of these books hits the "big-time" (like the NYTimes list) and I can't celebrate here. I like the work, though.

I'm reminded of that series of mysteries that takes place in and around a group of ghost writers, can't remember the character or author name. Have people in your circle been mysteriously dying? LOL.

I hope you find that balance twixt mommy and writer soon, but be sure to get to appreciate the baby, they don't stay that way long. My baby finishes high school this year.

Regards,
Scott

That must bring relief and satisfaction at the same time. This is so inspring for us fellow writers as well. Way to go, Jenna! :)

I am truly jealous of your tenacity Jenna...
it takes a lot of work a lot of eye strain a lot of brain power to garner such concentration to work on such things...
Congrats...and hope all of them make "big-time" even if you cannot "announce" them here....

Congratulations on finishing your books, Jenna, and your brother's blog is great!

I love this part in his profile, it put a big smile on my face.

"I love ladies and women very much being nice and gentleman to them and spreading sunshine."

He could teach lots of men a thing or two. ;)

:) Really great news. Who knows, maybe one day someone will be doing a 'ghost' story about you and all your success. (Gently pat your tummy and tell the wee one that 'its' mommy is a very neat woman.)

Ooooh, Jenna, you're all undercover. How do you like it? I always thought it'd be cool...I imagine myself writing in a dark room, making sure no one sees or hears me.

Good luck!
