Working on improving your health by losing weight? Making efforts to improve your fitness level? Giving up cigs or caffeine?
I am going to get healthier this month, and was talking with another AW regular (Chunk! where are ya?) and we thought starting a thread for folks who are interested would be a grand idea.
Feel free to post any combination of your goals, your plans, and progress here. Post your weekly progress report on Friday, but feel free to come here anytime to get and give help, motivation and inspiration!
I'm starting Feb. 1, but if you stumble across this thread at any point after that and want to jump in, feel free to do so.
I will check in daily, more or less.
TIP: You are most likely to succeed at your goal if you have a plan. For example, when writing a novel, it helps some people to write a specific number of words each day. Take some time to make a plan that can fit your lifestyle, also be willing to make changes in your lifestyle to meet your reasonable, attainable goals.
I'm spending less time with the cookie jar this month, and more with the bench press.
My goals are to lose 12 pounds in February and improve my fitness level. My plan is to follow the South Beach diet for two weeks (longer if I am feeling good about it and it's helping me) and to get a minimum of three hours of exercise each week. I'm supporting my plan by grocery shopping tomorrow to have the right foods available, and am working with a personal trainer (I've been doing this for a while) to help with the exercise component of my plan.
This challenge (maybe if it's working for us, we can start a new one in March) will end on Feb. 27.
