Gosh, I am SO sorry I missed responding to this on the actual day. I had family visiting from out of town, and wasn't online as much as usual. Therefore, I'm posting a much-belated THANK YOU to everyone!
All in all, it was a great birthday, aside from my falling down as I was getting ready for church. I broke the laundry basket (plastic), and possibly sprained my wrist (still hurting).
BUT we went to eat at Johnny Carino's, and our lunch specials included dessert, so I got tiramisu (yummy coffee goodness!). THEN the hubby mentioned my birthday to the waiter, who said that I'd also get a free piece of Italian chocolate creme cake, and singing. Well, somehow they forgot the singing, but I got the cake, and it was actually TWO pieces, with ice cream! And it was scrumptious!
Come to think of it, I never did get sung to at all. I sort of "dodged" it when my cousin had asked hubby a few days earlier about telling a waiter at another restaurant that it was my birthday (we ate out a lot while they were here--just easier for the large group); hubby shook his head, because usually I'm really sensitive to things like that, and don't like to be the center of attention, but for some reason this time I would have actually liked it, and I missed out. Ah well. There's next year, right?
