If you're submitting a hard copy via snail mail to a publisher/magazine/whatever, is it the accepted practice to underline things tht are supposed to be in italics and do the squiggly line thing under things that are supposed to be bold? I know the online version of that, if submitting in an email or a plain text file is to use _underline_ and *bold* to signify each respectively, but what about printed out versions? Can I just use the Word doc as I've done it, with the proper italics and bolding where necessary or do I have to do the underline thing?

Does this make any sense? :)
