I just got my first rejection. A polite "good luck in other markets" for a poem I sent into an e-zine.

I feel all official now, like, a proper writer or sumfing. :D

I'd say congrats, but I'll save it for when it is accepted.

In the mean time, welcome to the rejection pile for writers. It feels good to have company!

Stay in there and keep fighting!:D

Oooh, you're no longer a Rejection Letter Virgin :D

Ain't they fun? I'm collecting the whole set! In fact, I just found another target I'm gonna aim for today. Someday they're gonna build a car fueled by Rejection Form Letters, and I'll be SET!

Hi, Cath, You've got the right attitude and you'll no doubt get your first acceptance soon! Keep sending that poem and others out 'til it gets accepted!

Cath, you have officially, as someone once told me, lost your literary virginity. Congrats. (I have lost my literary virginity FAR too many times. ;) ) Wait-- you can only lose it once. Ah well, you know what I'm saying. I'VE HAD FAR TOO MANY REJECTIONS.

Lol, I didn't see that MidnightMuse had also called you a Rejection Letter Virgin. Maybe it's a common term. :)
