The mods are trying to figure out if the members see deletion notices when we delete threads. It appears that some members do and some don't. CC, a brighter bulb than I am, thinks that maybe it's a matter of usergroups-- maybe Super Members and above (50 posts and up) can see the deletion notices, and others can't. So, to test this, would you take a look here:

http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=17

Do you see a deleted thread with the subject "Subject2" and a notation from GoodWord saying it's spam?

P.S. And now a deleted thread with the subject "Free Money" and a notation from me saying "Die, spam, die"?

(The spammers hit that board hard. We don't know why.)

Interesting. No subject lines, but you do see the deletion notices. OK, now I just have to hear from some newer members to see if CC's theory is right. I logged out and then I couldn't see any deletion notices.

Walked the dog...had more coffee...
so am partially awake..
The last thread which says "moved" (something about resumes)
but no thread that you are describing
First thread is a sticky "Resoruces"

And Jenna for a mommy-to-be you are up real late!

Jenna,

As you have already checked, you can only see it if you are logged on.

hah.......... I wasnt lurking that time...pffffffttttttttttttttt
Firefox when it opens a new tab, from a URL posted in another, does it as a new app (according to my set parameters), and I did not pay attention cause I need too much caffeine to wake up!!!!!!!!!!!!
sheesh...
(but then again lurking is fun!)

No problem…It’s lurking with intent that will get you into trouble.

Good Word asked me to check last night. Yep, I see them.

By the way, I tried changing my various "edit options" to see if changing a setting would make a difference in whether I saw the deletions or not. No matter what I did, I still saw them.

And Good Word keeps deleting the posts from sexy overseas women wanting to meet me. I told her to knock it off. How am I ever going to get a date . . . ?
