I'm a newbie 2.
Being 59 years old last year 2 of my short stories were published. Got paid for them too.
Even though I like the horror genre a little more than other genre I'm dabbling with them.
The 2 stories that were published are horror.
DADDY'S DEAD & RING OF DARKNESS (ROD)are their titles. They were published at T-zero an Xpandine ezine. DD was published in January & ROD in November of last year.
I also have ideas for a romantic comedy, a cozy murder mystery, and a sci fi.
By the way, I'm a 59 year old man, Vietnam vet, single(by choice) and I currently live in Portland, Oregon with some intentions of moving back to California. If I do I'll live in SF for a bit to spend time doing research and then on to Hollywood, CA where I've lived. Btw, I was born in Los Angeles County.
Oh, it was the prologue from my novel with the same for ROD that had gotten published as a short story. I'm on chapter 11.
I'm also writing another novel entitled SUPER QUEEN. The story deals with a drag queen who gets super powers similar to Superman's. The story takes place during Gay Pride week in San Francsico. The antagonist has voodoo powers is threatening to blow up the SF gay parade with a short-range missile. A couple of wealthy Egyptians are also involved and so are the FBI.
Oh, I'm also adapting ROD and Super Queen into screenplays.
