They are probably going to kill me for this. I just wanted a quick link. No need to provide feedback if you don't want to, I just wanted a quick link to it for those who are represented.
(background: I did a few spur of the moment poems for a few folks in OP the other day. I thought it might be nice to have them all together for them to access in Poets' Collections Sticky.
(sorry if some may be embarrassed by their representation outside of HOL - if enough of you complain I will delete it.)

Here we go...all eight of them

HOUSE OF LOVE DEDICATION POEMS

Terriwriter

if a sound could land
her laugh would
on water
like a rose petal.
spinning with the ripples
following a tide
rising and falling
to a beat that
picks up
and transfers
the light around her.
Droplets settle
cling to her
bead then soak in
while she tosses
in wave
and wind
only to be lifted
free
by soft fingers
who will cherish her.

Robeiae:

his eye sparks
light bounces
deeper.
deeper.
there.
to the place
of wit.
the best smile in a day
reminded of
the last laugh.
like rain ends a draught
I'm saturated
stuck
between that brilliant
twinkle
of mischief
and the sweet sweet
line
at the edge
where humor
has etched
his words.

KathyRhymegirl :Wishing Well

One true thing;
one hope
put onto
a glorious coin -
kissed.
tossed into
the wishing well.
And that well,
she remembers it.
that coin -
what it stood for
meant,
cost.
cradles it -
protects it -
in depth and languid ease
calmly, gently saves it
so the wisher
keeps his hope.
Is understood.
The coin rests
with others
in a bosom
that will cherish them
save them
Never rising again
and in the water
of that well
renewed -
the well, she
finds the true thing
the one true thing
that makes it
a different coin
different from all the rest.

Storygirl:

calling out with
rustling leaves
the easy breeze
says, "I am kind"
without saying
a word.
what will cool you?
dry you?
close your eyes?
as you tilt a face
skyward
to be caressed;
Blessed
by the gentle breeze
that carries seeds
to plant anew,
forgotten scents
to a lover's heart
coolness across skin
unaware of burning sun.
with ease - awash -
the sound of leaves
in a swirling sky-sea
How can something
so gentle
be
so strong?
Oh, gentle breeze
carries much
urges softly
takes care
of all within
her touch.

NeuroFizz

My salt-drenched skin
smoothed, wet in ocean-air.
Urges me closer
as broad and clean
a wave crashes to me.
shifts the sand
beneath my feet
sets me off-balance
rights me again
I'm awed
by the power
the grace
a life force
wiser
than my own
and deeper.
Invited by splashing fun
what I don't need
to carry
is washed away
and I'm given something
to take in its place
smiles.
And gratitude
for how they got there.

Ray MaestroWorks: the Guardian

The garden vines writhe and twist
atop a blossom - scared to emerge
pink and fresh
reaching to soak in sun,
longing to feel rain's kiss.
stretching to grow.
he sees.
he watches.
says,
"Stand tall, flower!"
While pruning back
what may
starve a beauty.
brushing a web
from a fragile stem.
unraveling a choking vine
from precious neck -
feeding and nourishing
replenishing soil
to be rich and giving
"grow tall and free!"
he says.
"For I am the guardian
of the garden
you grow in."

TeddyG:

Cracking fire
sparks
with sounds of comfort.
Flame whips
then dissipates
quick quiet brilliance.
Ash, blackened and spent
tumbles
so new can rise
in the warmth created.
Heat to soul.
Soothing to mind.
A friend from afar
Nearer.
to hearth
in a heart.

KTC
if a word could slip
off my tongue
liquidcool
then flutter from my lips
to an ear pressed
with cupped hand, anticipating
the word would be
soft at balance
round and giddy
full of a memory
I wish was mine
at a lake
I think I knew once.
If it could be
a vision of more
a thought on the tip of a brain
that plunges into a soul;
if that word could be
nostalgic, fragile,
true.
dewy with promise.
The word, in a whisper
from my throat;
that fluttered word would be
tickling an eardrum
with its faint vibration
hard syllable soft sound
if it could be...
all of this,
then
it would be
"kevin".
