Absolutely!

Congratulations. If people react like that, you know you have done your job. However, you have to be careful what you invoke. My father read the first chapter of my autobiography and was quite angry he hadn't known about the abusive relationship. I'd never seen him so irritable!

Another section of the autobiography made my mother cry. Once again, I couldn't believe it.


My previous book, A Doggy Diary, was a comedy so the only reaction they'd given was laughter. I certainly wasn't prepared for tears or anger!
